The 2015 Sunshine Coast Real Food Festival is set to be the biggest festival yet and organisers are calling on food enterprises from throughout the Sunshine Coast and surrounds to book their exhibitor site now.
The Real Food Festival, which brings together the best Sunshine Coast food
products and services from paddock to plate, will be held in Maleny on 12 & 13 September 2015.
With exhibitor sites filling quickly and an exciting program in the works, Festival Director Julie Shelton advised prospective exhibitors to apply now to secure their place at the Festival, now in its fifth year.
“It is a great weekend for building relationships with others in the food and
agribusiness industries, from primary producers, manufacturers, right through the value chain to chefs and retailers,” explained Julie.
“We did a comprehensive survey with exhibitors from 2014 and the feedback has
been overwhelmingly positive. Many reached sales of between $5,000 and $10,000 while increasing brand awareness and growing their customer databases.
“The Sunshine Coast Real Food Festival offers exhibitors a unique opportunity to capitalise on the growing interest in local foods, engage with customers, gather concrete market research and sell products directly to Festival visitors,” Julie said.
“It’s a joyful celebration of good food and a unique gathering of the Sunshine Coast food community – what a fantastic opportunity for local food-related businesses to stand shoulder-to-shoulder in support of the rich diversity and quality of our produce!”.
Julie said the Real Food Festival organising team would love to see all Sunshine Coast enterprises with a passion for good food getting involved in the Festival.
“It’s not just about the weekend – we are encouraging people to book their exhibitor space now to ensure they can take up opportunities to be involved in pre-event and media promotions as well as the Festival itself,” Julie said.
The exhibitor application form can be downloaded at www.realfoodfestivals.com.au.
In addition to the more than 100 expected exhibitors, the Festival will include a full program of cooking demonstrations, chef presentations, conversations, interactive workshops and kids activities across seven different venues within the Festival. The event is expecting 10,000 visitors through the gates over the Festival weekend.
