The Buderim Foundation will be celebrating this Sunday afternoon, bringing together Foundation Ambassadors, Buderim families, sponsors and friends to announce this year’s annual grant recipients.
For the ninth consecutive year, the Buderim Foundation is providing funding for the community organisations that provide services and support for residents throughout the 4556 post code area.
This year the Buderim Foundation is excited to announce that there is a record amount of funding for the Community Grants Program 2016, with a total of $65,000 being awarded.
Buderim Foundation’s newly elected Chair Heinz Seeberg said that all the non-for-profit organisations awarded community grants service the greater Buderim community.
“We want to support these organisations in providing their services to the Buderim community as much as possible, the organisations have very exciting upcoming projects for the community.
“Each year more people become aware of the foundation and generously donate money, and as a result there are more funds to inject back into the Buderim community,” Mr Seeberg said.
This year’s grant recipients will be announced at Good News Sunday, the grant presentation and picnic on the lawn between Buderim Memorial Hall and Craft Cottage starting from 2.30pm.
The goal of the Buderim Foundation is to enrich and enhance the quality of life for Buderim and its residents, past and future. The Foundation is a philanthropic, not-for-profit organisation that aims to generate income from donations and bequests from local community members and provide grants for community projects.
The grants are offered to not-for-profit organisations providing services or undertaking projects that will benefit the Buderim community.
