The Mooloolah River is set to once again light up for 14th annual Mooloolaba Christmas Boat Parade organised by Mooloolaba Yacht Club.
MYC commodore Josh Close said the Parade, on Saturday 16th December starting at 6.30pm, will be the biggest and best yet with record levels of entries expected from boat owners as well as home owners along the Parade route.
“It’s a fantastic event for the club as we love seeing boaties and the community get together to enjoy what is a magical spectacle,” Mr Close said.
During the Parade, The Wharf Mooloolaba will be hosting a special outdoor broadcast with Mix FM’s Todd and Sami, including great competitions for listeners.
The Wharf Mooloolaba co-owner, Dirk Long said the Christmas Boat Parade is an exciting time for everyone at The Wharf, with this year made extra special with all the new dining options available.
“We have three new restaurants – The Dock Mooloolaba, Rice Boi and Saltwater – which join See Restaurant, Chances and Hogs Breath Café, and everyone is very excited to be part of Parade celebrations,” Mr Long said.
Mr Close said families, and friends and visitors from across the region will gather at The Wharf, La Balsa Park and all the other vantage points along the river.
“For those participants that enter the Best Dressed competition, this year we have even more trophies on offer including Best Dressed Boat, Best New Entry, Brightest Boat, Best Dressed Kids, and trophies for the Best Decorated Houses and Units,” Mr Close said.
