Sunshine Mitre 10 is celebrating its Mighty 1st Birthday this Saturday 1st June with a massive sale, the Triple M Street Patrollers, as well as free face painting and coffee van.
Sunshine Mitre 10 CEO Travis Cunnane said the celebration, from 10am to 1pm, was Sunshine Mitre 10’s way of saying thank you to the Bundaberg community for their support throughout the year.
“The Bundaberg store has gone from strength to strength and we have the community and our local trade customers to thank for that,” Mr Cunnane said.
“At Sunshine Mitre 10, we pride ourselves on getting involved in the 17 different local communities where we have stores supporting grassroots community and sporting groups and working with kids, and Bundaberg is no exception.”

Bundaberg Retail Manager Jaye Lawson said Sunshine Mitre 10’s sponsorships included Western Suburbs Junior Rugby League Club, Bargara Soccer Club and the Across the Ways AFL Club.
“We are really looking forward to celebrating this Saturday and to another great year working with the community.
“At our opening we had people lined up around the block ready to grab a bargain when the doors opened and we hope to see that again – make sure you look out for our Mighty 1st Birthday catalogue which not only includes some great sales, but also vouchers as well.”
Some of the bargains include 50% off plants and up to 50% off outdoor furniture. There’s also a great 5-piece Rockwell Cordless tool set for just $79 and some assorted garden tools for just $5.
And in time for winter there are some great Enamel firepits for just $38 and some Gasmate Patio headers at less than half price for just $99.
Celebrations will run from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, with the store open as usual from 8am to 4pm. The sale continues until Sunday 9th June.
Bundaberg Trade Manager Damien Nunn said local builders and tradesmen had been very supportive of the new store in its first year.
“At Sunshine Mitre 10 we work closely with our trade clients ensuring they have tools, equipment and materials they need to get the job done with the convenience of an undercover trade drive through.
“Not only that, we have a fully trackable delivery system which helps ensure everything is onsite at the perfect time for our customers which includes daily site deliveries on our crane truck to Bundaberg and surrounding communities.”
Mr Cunnane said for Sunshine Mitre 10, the Bundaberg store represented a long term multi-million-dollar commitment to provide the most outstanding hardware retail and trade offer in the region.
The store at 1 Electra Street was completely refurbished with an improved layout for easier navigation, a new Paint Colour Centre and larger ranges of Power Tools, Outdoor Power Equipment including Stihl & Makita, along with an improved Garden Centre.
“We also introduced larger ranges and increased stock levels across all departments, so whether you are a retail or trade customer, you can get in, get what you need and get on with it.”
Sunshine Mitre10 is a 109 year old business with 17 sites throughout QLD employing over 420 staff.
“We are proud locals, employing and serving locals and we get involved in the communities in which our stores operate. This includes having local experts available to provide advice and assistance to both our trade and DIY/Retail customers,” Mr Cunnane said.
