Dress fit for royalty and come along to a very special celebration for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
Buderim Foundation Chair Dr Russell Stitz said with people all over the Commonwealth hosting events to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II ascending to the throne at the beginning of June, the Foundation thought it would be a great opportunity to join the fun.
“The event to be held on Thursday 2nd June will see attendees welcomed by a piper as they sip Pimms cocktails or a glass of champagne on the BWMCA War Memorial Hall lawn. There will also be an array of delicious British-inspired savoury and sweet treats to enjoy,” Dr Stitz said.
“We are encouraging people to come dressed for a royal occasion – so men get your jackets and ladies prepare your hats and jewels.
Dr Stitz said it would be a fun celebration and will acknowledge the Queen’s tireless service as the longest-serving British monarch ever.
“All profits from the event will go into the Buderim Foundation community investment fund, with the income earned to be used to fund community projects, through the Foundation’s Community Grant Program.
The luncheon on 2nd June will run from 11.30am to 2pm. Tickets are $62.50 including booking fee per person. To purchase tickets, visit https://www.buderimfoundation.org.au/ or email Susi Du Toit at info@buderimfoundation.org.au or phone 0419 674 or 622 by Monday 30th May.
